The oilseed harvest here in the southeast is expected to be mostly completed by the end of the week.

Roger Robert of the Manitoba Agriculture office in St. Pierre says early seeded canola yielded up to 50 bushels per acre.  But later seeded fields did as little as 20 due to hot, dry weather in July.  Flax yields are below average.
Robert notes most of this year's harvest is being stored on farm.  That's because most elevators in the region are full and rail movement has been slow.
