It will become a great teaching moment.

Hanover Assistant Superintendent Ken Klassen is talking about the change last week in how planets are defined.
Pluto is no longer on the official list.  Klassen says when students do stumble across Pluto in their textbooks it will be a great time for teachers to explain how a group of men can make this descision.  He adds changes happen so fast in our world that textbooks often are quickly out-of date.  And any teacher who wants to stay current must use technology to keep up.  As a result the internet has become more important than textbooks as a source of information for students and educators alike.
