The Steinbach Fire Department is attending to fires at two houses in the west end of the city Sunday evening. 

The call came in for fires at 61 and 65 Park Hill Crescent just after 7:30 PM on Sunday. 

Thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the back window of one of the homes. Soon after, neighbours saw flames along both rooflines.

The fire department utilized their ladder truck to attack the fire from above quickly extinguishing the blaze. Firefighters could be seen checking the roof of each home for hot spots and embers.
