This is your chance to meet Steinbach's most famous pooch and support the efforts of two amazing local animal rescues!  

Barry Peters is the owner of the Pet Valu here in Steinbach, and is also the proud owner of "Kato" - an 11 year old Papillon who was recently chosed to be the face of a new line of Performatrin dog food.  Kato will be on hand this afternoon for a BBQ fundraiser at Pet Valu next to Clearspring Centre where you can purchase a hot dog and/or drink for $1 apiece.    Steinbach and Area Animal Rescue will be on site today with an opportunity to find your potential new fur friend.  Tomorrow, Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue will be on hand with your chance to meet all kinds of furry critters, all of whom are looking for their forever home and are available for adoption.
