It was encouraging to see the streets filled with youth last night - even in the rain - collecting food for the FCC Drive Away Hunger campaign! And that's just part of it. Schools have been collecting groceries for awhile now and yesterday and today Farm Credit Canada's tractor and trailer have been putting on the miles to collect it all up!! Today they'll be in Niverville, New bothwell, Woodlawn school in Steinbach, Southwood school, SRSS, and to SouthEast Helping hands. Also on their list is LaBroquerie, Ste. Anne, blumenort and again back to SouthEast Helping hands. I'll be broadcasting from Woodlawn school when the tractor arrives there at 11:00 this morning. So, listen in and we'll get you an update on how the day is going and we'll get a feel for the excitement behind this massive effort to "Drive Away Hunger" for good.
