John McGregor of the Manitoba Agriculture Office In Steinbach says yields are in the 12 to 20 bushel per acre range, which is about average.
The early bean harvest is yielding about 35 bushels per acre and McGregor feels that's not bad considering the kind of year it's been.  Meantime, planting of winter wheat is underway.  He expects acres will be up again this year because of the crop's popularity as hog feed.
