A cyclist was transported to hospital Tuesday morning following a crash in Steinbach.

At approximately 7:45 am, Steinbach RCMP responded to the collision at the intersection of Chapel Drive and Chrysler Gate. According to Steinbach RCMP, a truck was travelling west towards Highway 12 when it collided with a cyclist riding south down Chapel Drive.

Police say the cyclist was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation continues and there is no word on whether charges will be laid.

Steinbach RCMP have responded to several crashes in recent weeks involving vehicles and cyclists. Police would like to remind cyclists and motorists to look out for each other, especially with the sun setting earlier each day. Cyclists are reminded that if they ride on the road, they must adhere to all traffic control devices.
