COVID-19 Enforcement Officials continue to clamp down on social gatherings that exceed the legal limit or are otherwise in violation of the public health orders.

Enforcement statistics released today indicate that a total of 42 warnings and 26 tickets were issued between March 29 and April 4. Officials say 15 of those tickets were the $1,296 fines related to gatherings in private residences or outdoors.

Tickets issued during this time period include:

-23 $1,296 tickets to individuals for various offences;
-two $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places; and
-one $5,150 fine under the federal quarantine act.

The public is advised that current government restrictions allow one to visit only their designated household indoors and gather outdoors with a maximum of ten people in a private setting or 25 people in a public setting.
