Airbags were deployed during a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street and Reimer Avenue at around 12:30 Thursday afternoon.

After speaking with witnesses, RCMP believe a vehicle driving southbound down Reimer was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound down Main that had failed to stop at a red light.

Constable Ken Friesen elaborates: “Witnesses say what happened is that a vehicle in the driving lane had made a right turn onto Reimer and I guess the motorist following took that as a sign that the light was green and continued on through.”

Friesen indicates that both drivers agreed to be examined by the medical team on scene, though he is unsure of the extent of their injuries.
