The Head of Public Works for Steinbach guesses they will have the whole city cleared from this week's snow by the end of Tuesday.

Randy Reimer says crews have been working since three o'clock again this morning. He notes right now they have collector streets and arterial streets cleared in nearly every development. But the core area is not yet fully opened.

Reimer explains they will be shutting down the plows early today and then barring any more snow this weekend or icy conditions that require sand trucks, crews will be back at it early Monday morning.

"Come Monday we will start early and we'll work on the core area to try and finish off most of the core area that is still unfinished and then we will move into residential areas," says Reimer.

Reimer reminds parents to be careful of their kids playing on snow piles, in case they should get trapped from snow collapsing. He says once all the streets have been cleared, crews will begin to haul away the snow piles from cul de sacs and parking lots.
