The 4th annual event takes place this weekend in Eastern Manitoba.
Ginette Lussier is general manager of the Eastern Manitoba Tourism Association. She says the goal is to promote tourism. This is done by encouraging communities and individuals to hold their garage sales this weekend. Lussier says the event stretches 250 kilometers but she'd like to grow it so that one day it stretches from Bissett down to the border. Another goal she has is to encourage communities to use this as a fundraiser where a percentage of proceeds would go towards a charity or organization like the local fire department.
