Canada set for Worlds

Canada's roster has been finalized for the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championship which begins Boxing Day in Calgary and Edmonton.

Oakbank's Quinton Howden of the Moose Jaw Warriors, Brandon Wheat Kings captain Mark Stone and Winnipeg Jets first round draft pick Mark Scheifele of the Barrie Colts are on Canada's 22-player roster. Howden was treated for concussion-like symptoms after he was hit hard into the boards by Brett Connolly during Monday's intra-squad game. Canada's National Junior Hockey Team will play pre-competition games against Finland, Switzerland and Sweden in Alberta prior to the start of the World Junior Chanmpionship. Canada lost the 2010 gold medal game to the United States and also lost the 2011 gold medal game to Russia.
