The snow was gently falling last year and it was a perfect night for the official lighting of the Bethesda Foundation's Gifts of Light. We are hoping for the same this year. But even if it isn't exactly the same -- this year's "Gifts of Light" campaign is already a success. They have surpassed last year's totals already and are now looking for a sponsor of the huge, manufactured tree that will be standing on TOP of the hospital. Sunday, December 4th at 4:45 pm - the sleigh rides begin and at 5:30 the official tree lighting. Maggie Smith is the honorary tree lighter and Mary Jane Hiebert will be singing "O Holy Night" - it doesn't get much better than that. Thank you to John Peters for stopping by again this morning to tell us about the big new tree AND the event itself. If you'd like to put in a bid to sponsor that big tree -- just call the hospital and ask for the foundation and leave your bid there. It's a great part of Christmas here in the southeast. Merry Christmas!
