The Principal at Green Valley School in Grunthal says his heart goes out to the family and friends of grade 12 student Connie Bergen.
She was killed early Friday morning in a car accident near Kleefeld. Rick Ardies says Connie was well known at Green Valley since she went to school there for the past 7 years. Her circle of friends included grade 11 student Marina Toews who died in September following a quad accident. Ardies says it's hard to see these young people have to deal with 2 tragedies in such a short time span. Crisis teams are set up to spend the day at Green Valley, helping staff and students cope with Connie's death. The funeral service for Connie Bergen will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2pm at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Grunthal.
