You've probably heard the rumours that Walmart is about to announce a store in Steinbach.

We put that question to Kevin Groh of the Walmart Canada head office in Montreal.  He says not yet.  Groh notes Walmart has been and remains interested in Steinbach and has some positive leads in the market.  But he adds they like to take their time in selecting a location and in determining when the time is right to move into a new community.  Groh says they are still in that process and there's nothing on the imminent horizon for Steinbach.
