Still No Answer On HWY 52 Speed Reduction 
Steinbach City Council added put pressure on the province to look at their longstanding request to reduce the speed limit on Highway 52 West following a fatal collision at the intersection of Highway 52 and Industrial road. The speed was eventually reduced to 70 km/h in May, and traffic lights were turned on at the intersection in October.

On March 1st the Hanover School Division awarded the tender for the construction of the new Niverville High School to Red Lake Construction. The division held a sod turning for the $18.5M school on March 23rd and the project is set to be completed for the 2019-2020 school year.
