The polls will be busy in La Broquerie during the coming October election.
  Chief Election Official Henri Bisson says there 18 candidates running for the 6 seats on council.   Bisson says on average there are 3 candidates running for each ward.  There are 3 people vying for reeve.  They are incumbent Ken Mantie plus Ron Vielfaure and Marielle Wiebe.  The list of candidates includes:
Ward 1 - Edwood Oswald, Walter Hiebert, Rodney Beckman.
Ward 2 - Kelly Harder, Cornie Goertzen, Ronald Hamilton
Ward 3 - Denis Fontaine, Fernand Piche
Ward 4 - Claude Moquin, Dan Cady, Guy Gauthier, Bernard Nerbert Mireault 
Ward 5 - William Hornick, Phil Delorme, Jean Gagnon
Ward 6 - Doreen Lamontagne, John Unrau, Wildred Chabot.
