Police in western Manitoba say two children have not been seen or heard from since Friday afternoon.

The Manitoba RCMP says in a release that officers at the Boissevain detachment received a report that the two children had not been returned to their mother after they had spent time with their father.

The children rode their bikes from school to their father's home in Hartney, Manitoba, on Friday afternoon.

Mounties say that the parents had agreed the kids would spend the night at their father's and return home on Saturday afternoon.

However,  nobody has seen or heard from the children or their father,  since the kids left school on Friday. The father also did not show up for work on Monday as scheduled.
