A number of tractors dating as far back as the 1950's, took to the roads on Saturday for the annual Tractor Trek.

The group of 38 tractors and their drivers took off from the Mennonite Heritage Village at 10am, made their way to Neufeld Garage in Randolph for a pit stop then off to Unger Meats south of Mitchell for lunch and back to the MHV for supper. Earl Reimer with the Eden Foundation notes the proceeds raised at this year's event will go to the MHV and Eden Foundation. He says this is such a unique event.

"It's a delight to see vintage tractors that are still working. I think it speaks quite well to the manufacturing of what was done back then in terms of technology. Obviously, significantly less advanced than what we're used to today but a functioning piece of equipment that is still working today."

If you come across the train of tractors, make sure to slow down and even give them a wave as you pass by.
