It's time to dig out the snow shovels, today is the first heavy snowfall of the year here in the southeast which is making for very slick driving conditions.

Manitoba Infrastructure reports Highways all throughout the region are snow covered with swirling snow and reduced visibility. Streets throughout the City of Steinbach are also very slippery, so drivers are advised to be very cautious while out on the roads. 

Environment Canada is calling for 10cm of snow on Saturday. The heavy snowfall is expected to slow down into the evening then a 60% chance of flurries throughout the night and into tomorrow with the wind changing directions to northwest at 30km/h overnight.
