Niverville Town Council has approved the sale of their old town office at 86 Main Street.

Mayor Myron Dyck says the property was sold to Wallace Wallace and Edwards for $200,000 which is $100 over their asking price. He notes this is the second surplus building Niverville has sold since they purchased their current town office building on Bronstone Drive.

“We had already held ownership of what was the old Manitoba Hydro building at that time but when this particular building we are in now became available, those two were identified as surplus so the Manitoba Hydro was sold last year and we have had the one on Main Street for sale since that time. Now someone has come forward and we are grateful for that and so that will just go to offset the investment in the current building.”
