The Rural Municipality of La Broquerie resolved to approach the Minister of Highways in hopes of seeing Provincial Road 302 and 303 paved. The topic was brought to the table by Councillor Larry Tetrault who expressed to council that this was an important project to seek the Provincial Government on.

Reeve Lewis Weiss says this is a project both council and the local community would like to see completed.

"If we could somehow make them understand that La Broquerie could really use 302, at least those first three miles heading straight south, and then the entire 303 until Highway 12 paved. It would relieve tension off Highway 52, it would help all around. Make it a good quality road for the big trucks. So we were very interested to see if we could somehow get them to lean their ear to us."

Weiss adds there are subdivisions along these roads and will likely be more in the future. He says, hopefully, they are able to seek approval from the Minister of Highways on this issue. He says approximately 16 years ago the both Provincial Road 302 and 303 were upgraded and slotted to be paved, but a change of government resulted in an outcome change.
