A warehouse in Niverville was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon. The building stood on the east side of the railway tracks, south of Main Street.

Niverville Fire Chief Keith Bueckert says the page came down as a truck on fire. That truck was located inside a building and by the time firefighters arrived, the structure was engulfed in flames.

The building belongs to Rod Friesen. He says it was used for storage and one of his clients was working on his semi when it started on fire.

"It's terrible to see it," says Friesen. "Going to be a huge loss."

Bueckert says the truck and building are a total loss. There were no injuries.

Firefighters from Ritchot came to assist with manpower.
