A vehicle started on fire at 6 AM Wednesday morning about two miles south of Kleefeld along Provincial Road 216.

According to Hanover Fire Chief Paul Wiebe, the vehicle suddenly caught fire when its owner tried the ignition this morning. Wiebe adds that the owner was able to drive it away from his house before it spread to anything else.

Wiebe says there were no injuries. “The vehicle is written off," he comments, "but other than that nothing too dramatic.”

Hanover fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, and Wiebe indicates that they returned back to the station with no complications.
