One person was taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash Thursday morning in Steinbach.

Steinbach Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Mike Penner says they were called out around 7:30 am. An SUV was travelling west down Highway 52 when it was hit by a southbound delivery truck coming off Lund Road.

Penner says the impact caused the SUV to flip, landing upside down on the boulevard.

There were three occupants in the SUV. One of them was transported to hospital for observation. The driver of the delivery truck was not hurt.

Westbound Highway 52 was closed for about thirty minutes while crews cleared the scene.
