RCMP have released more information concerning Monday morning's incident in Mitchell.
At approximately 4:05 am, St. Pierre RCMP noticed a suspicious vehicle in the Mitchell area that seemed to be evading police.
The vehicle pulled into a driveway and a person was seen running away. A 23-year-old male from Kleefeld was located in the back seat of the vehicle and within reach of a weapon. A subsequent search revealed homemade explosives in the vehicle. The man was arrested.
The following day, a 28-year-old male from Kleefeld was also arrested in relation to this incident. He was the one seen running from the vehicle.
Charges of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Make/Possess/Control Explosives are pending.
RCMP continue to investigate.
