Emergency crews were called to a three vehicle collision in Steinbach at the corner of Highway 12 and Main Street at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Steinbach Fire Assistant Chief Russ Reimer says it appears that a westbound vehicle was traveling through the intersection when it was struck by a northbound vehicle. He notes a second westbound vehicle then rear-ended the first westbound vehicle.

Reimer says two of the vehicles had a driver and one vehicle had a driver and single passenger.

"They have all be checked out by EMS. At this point, I don't believe anybody is being transported. Traffic is a bit of a challenge, it is a busy intersection but we have got it under control."

The intersection was cleared by 2:50 p.m.
