Three individuals have been arrested after a theft from a local grocery store.

According to Steinbach RCMP, last Saturday at 7 PM security personnel had watched a male and two females walk out of the store with carts full of unpaid merchandise.

RCMP say the male was quickly apprehended by police at his vehicle which was later found to be unregistered. The male himself was without a license and had been prohibited from driving Canada-wide. The two females were also arrested by police when they exited the store.

Police indicate that all three individuals are from Ebb and Flow First Nations and will be facing charges of theft over $5,000.

Meanwhile, the male will face the two additional charges of driving while prohibited and driving an unregistered vehicle.
