A family from Transcona will receive a new home Saturday thanks to the generosity of 33 people from southern Manitoba. The 13th annual Cycle of Hope wraps Saturday. The event has seen 33 people cycle more than 1300 kilometers from Michigan to Winnipeg in order to raise $90,000 for Habitat for Humanity. Cyclist Jan Scotten tells us the group has seen it all including lightning, hail, rain, wind and many hills. But she says it will all be worth it Saturday when she can see the family receive the key to their new home. The group crossed into Canada Friday afternoon and will spend the night in St.Pierre before hitting Winnipeg Saturday.
