RCMP report there was a theft Saturday night at the A&W restaurant in Steinbach.

A female employee was closing up when a male dressed in black and wearing a mask on his face and toque, entered the restaurant. He walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The employee was not harmed and was not threatened. No weapon was presented.

The male suspect is described as 5'8" tall with a slim build, light brown or hazel eyes and wearing gloves. He was carrying a black drawstring gym bag.

Police were notified at approximately 11:30 pm.
