There are many good things that come from going back to school.
Lee-Ann Provenski is Public Relations Manager with Teen Touch Manitoba.  She says kids rely on the structure and relationships at school and during the two week winter break, the Teen Touch help line was busy with young people needing to talk about a variety of issues.  Some of the common topics included feeling alone because everyone was too busy for them, and feeling left out because the caller didn't belong to a traditional family and wasn't experiencing the traditional Christmas.  Provenski says we need to understand not everyone has a mom and a dad and two siblings, that every life is different.  She also notes spring is a tough time for kids who see the weather improving and everything looks new outside but feel their life is not getting better.
