Things are going to get a little sweaty Friday with a high of 34 in the forecast.  Public health officials are urging us to take care of ourselves to avoid things like heat stroke.  Some things we can do include drinking lots of water, wearing a hat, using sunscreen and avoiding heavy exertion.  Our pets may also need some extra attention.  Dr. Dale McKague with Pet Vet in Steinbach encourages us to make sure they have access to fresh water because dogs know when they are getting overheated.  It's also recommended that we don't leave our pets in the vehicle for any amount of time and provide shade for animals that are left outside.
