Four teams are tied for first place in the Manitoba Junior Baseball League. The Carillon Sultans, Altona Bisons, Elmwood Giants and Interlake Knights all have 5 and 3 records. Tyler Cornelson tossed a four-hitter and Dalan Klassen had three hits and drove in a run as the Sultans blanked the Bisons 4-0 last night in Altona. Tyler Tataryn tossed a complete game 1-hitter as Interlake edged Elmwood 2-1. Justin Hink stole home with the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning.

The Winnipeg Senior Baseball League's Mitchell Mariners will put their 2 and 1 record on the line tonight when they meet the St.James A's in Winnipeg. The Mariners suffered their first loss of the season this past Tuesday as they dropped a 3-2 decision to the Winnipeg South Chiefs.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes saw their Northern Baseball League record fall to 7 and 5 after a 4-3 10 inning loss to Kansas City. Jimmy Hurst hit his fourth homer of the season for the Goldeyes. The two teams will wrap up their four games series today at noon at Can West Global Park.

Eastman Raiders Football last chance registration will be held today from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Clearspring Shopping Centre in Steinbach.

The Canadian Junior "A" Hockey League has awarded the 2006 CJAHL Prospects Game to the Vernon Vipers and the 2007 game to the Winkler Flyers. Both teams were in the running to host the 2006 game but because both bids were so well received the Canadian Junior "A" Hockey League decided to give the 2006 game to the Vipers and the 2007 CJAHL Prospects Game to the Flyers.
