The sights, sounds, and smells are definitely worth a visit to St-Pierre's annual Sugaring Off Festival this weekend.

Deputy Mayor of St-Pierre Luc Nadeau, says throughout the past week they've hosted groups of students from all over the province and adds they look forward to the event every year.

"It brings a lot of people into the community, all the businesses benefit from people from outside St-Pierre. It's one of the major events in town here."

Nadeau notes this festival could not be put on without their many volunteers and thanks them for all the work they do in the community.

The Festival runs until 5 p.m. Sunday and is rich in culture and history which includes traditional food, historical reenactments, horse wagon tours and maple taffy on the snow.
