With Environment Canada forecasting highs in the 30s this week you'd expect swimming pools to be a busy place.  But the manager at Steinbach Aquatic Centre finds outside temperature often makes little difference as to whether or not they will be busy.  In fact, even though the first 10 days of July have been hot, Kim Duncan says they're down about 400 public swimmers from the same period a year ago.  And, you'd think it would be the outdoor pool that would get all the attention on hot days but Duncan says there are many days where fewer than 100 people swim outdoors.  Duncan says the Steinbach Aquatic Centre still attracts a lot of people from Winnipeg.  Her staff is getting ready for the busiest month of the year which traditionally is August.
