A man from Steinbach says this week's announcement that dialysis service is coming to Steinbach will be life altering. As part of their Throne Speech, the Conservative government has committed to bringing the service to the Automobile City, but has not provided a timeline.

According to Barrow, this week's announcement will be life changing for some people.

"I think it will even extend their life a little bit because to not be faced with that drive to Winnipeg and that drive back and being in unfamiliar surroundings," he says. "Now they can be probably with people they know in the same clinic and it's much simpler and much easier on their psyche and on their body."

Now that the service has been promised for Steinbach, Barrow is hopeful the government will also take his advice for its naming.

"I suggested that they name the clinic the Kornelsen Klinic," says Barrow. "We'll see what happens."
