The expected Colorado Low has arrived.

Residents of the southeast woke up Thursday to a small amount of snow with another 12 to 24 centimetres predicted over the next two days.

In the western part of the province, the TransCanada Highway is closed from Brandon to the Saskatchewan border.

Highways in the southeast are reported as wet and slushy with driving conditions expected to get worse as more snow and possible freezing rain falls throughout the day. Winds of up to 40 to 60 km/h are also forecast for Thursday and Friday.
