Public Works and Operations personnel in the RM of Hanover are doing some snow clean-up Wednesday after the stormy weather Tuesday. But department manager Wes Fehr says the it didn't turn out as bad as had been predicted.

"As far as the snowfall amounts, we didn't get as much as what was forecasted. And, together with the blowing snow, we didn't have as much drifting then because of that as well."

Fehr says, due to the strong south wind yesterday, there are some drifts scattered throughout the RM on east-west roads that still need to be plowed.

"We have a few key areas where the wind can kind of funnel in alongside of bush lines on east-west roads because we had a south wind yesterday. So we have a few areas where we are just opening up the roads and cleaning them up. We haven't come across any areas that are entirely impassable."

Fehr adds with blustery weather forecast Wednesday afternoon and a northwest wind, they will monitor the situation and dispatch snow-clearing equipment as needed.
