Jennifer was one of many people attending Summer in the City Saturday afternoon

Large crowds flocked to Main Street in Steinbach Saturday afternoon to take advantage of the hot weather and the Summer in the City Festival.

Jennifer was amongst those attending, and she explains what she likes the most about the annual festival.

"I like to try some food, I come for Rocco's every year," she laughs.  "Honestly, I like walking down Main Street with no cars.  It's kind of fun."

Walter brought his family out to the event, and he notes there is one aspect of Summer in the City he looks forward to every year.

"Just walking around, looking at it and bringing my kids here so they can have fun and go on the rides."

He adds his children's favourite ride is the Sizzler, although he has no idea why.  Cameron was also at the festival Saturday afternoon, and he says his favourite part is quite simple.

"All of it."

One of the attendees plays a large game of checkers.

If forced to pick one specific element of the fair, Cameron notes it would have to be a specific ride.

"Roller coasters.  I like the ones that go in circles a lot."

Cameron has been coming to Summer in the City for a number of years in a row now, and he says it's something he gets excited for every year.
