RCMP say at least 20 semis and five passenger vehicles are involved in a serious collision in western Manitoba.
Reports say the highway is extremely icy. Different stretches of the highway had been closed Wednesday before being originally reopened at 9:43 AM Thursday.
After being open for only a few hours the Trans-Canada Highway is once again closed in the Westman region due to the collision.
The RCMP says three people have been transported to hospital with injuries.
As of 1:05 PM, the highway has been closed in both directions from Brandon to Virden.
Police expect the highway to remain closed for several hours. They are asking the public to avoid the area.
