The Eastman Selects gave up three third period goals and dropped a 6-1 decision to the Kenora Thistles on Wednesday night at the Sun Gro Centre in Beausejour. Matthew Hadley had the lone goal for the Selects who trailed 1-0 after the first period and 3-1 after forty minutes. Eastman goaltender Ryan Miner stopped 25 shots. The Selects, who saw their record fall to 8-12, will host the defending Telus Cup champion Winnipeg Thrashers on Friday and then travel to Winnipeg on Saturday afternoon to play the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's East Division leading Wild who have won 19 straight games to start the season.
