Almost two weeks have passed since hunter Brad Lambert of Winnipeg was last seen in Marchand. An extensive search was done in Sandilands Provincial Forest in the week after Lambert went missing and investigators found neither him nor his vehicle.

Steinbach RCMP Sergeant Joanne Ryll says they've stopped looking for now. "At present, the ground search and aerial search has ceased. There is a possibility of another aerial search however that remains to be determined. The RCMP along with Winnipeg City Police are now investigating leads that they receive and that's where the investigation is at at the present time."

The 46 year-old Lambert was driving a black Ford crew cab pick-up truck which has been nowhere to be found. Ryll says Winnipeg Police have put out a cross-Canada alert for that vehicle.

Ryll adds, as far as the search in Sandilands, "The aerial search and the ground search didn't produce any evidence to suggest that the missing person is in the area where he was last seen so at one point or another we have to cease the official search. But that doesn't mean we are not going to keep acting on any tips or information or leads that we receive from the public."
