The Hanover School division is concerned about vehicle traffic and safety near the site of the new Clearspring Middle School.  Board Chair Randy Hildebrand says "We are working together with the city of Steinbach regarding a traffic light at the corner where the water tower is at Hespeler, McKenzie and Main Street.  We are well aware that Clearspring Middle School is going to be coming up in a year and we know the traffic flow is going to continue to be enhanced at that corner."

The board is concerned about safety for their students walking and riding bikes at that corner.  "Together with the City of Steinbach, we have written a letter to the Province in trying to get traffic lights up there in that time."

He notes they are also concerned about traffic flows along Hespeler Street closer to the school.  "We are starting to monitor what that may look like at the corner of Evergreen and Hespeler and also Barkman and Hespeler.  We know when the school is up in a year that will create traffic flow issues there so we are already starting to brainstorm about what that may look like and will be in conversation with the City about that as well."
