There seems to be a lot of interest in moving to the R.M. of Ste. Anne, according to Reeve Paul Saindon.

“There’s been quite a bit of applications, there’s been some on the go through the winter and we anticipate that as the weather changes, they’re going to be pressuring more and more to develop certain areas,” Saindon says.

He adds that people are either finding it too difficult to build in urban areas or they are attracted to country living.

“They're quite willing to move out into the rural area to be closer to recreation and a little bit more relaxed type of living,” he explains.

Saindon says growth is a good thing for the municipality, as long as it happens at a steady pace that can be managed.
