A Remembrance Day service was held in Steinbach at the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church Wednesday morning at 10:45 a.m.

The auditorium and balcony were filled with guests. Some guests made use of an overflow area with chairs and a large screen. After the service, everyone was invited to the Steinbach Royal Canadian Legion hall for a light luncheon.

A Steinbach resident and his two sons attend the ceremony every year. Nick Paulet says, “We take time every year to remember those who have made a sacrifice historically and right up to our current date, that keep us safe and let us enjoy the freedoms we have to vote, and go where we want to go. And to enjoy the freedoms we take for granted, unfortunately too often.”
