The Red River continues to rise and is nearing its crest.

In its latest Flood Bulletin, Manitoba Infrastructure reports Red River tributaries are still rising such as the Morris and La Salle rivers but others are beginning to decline.

The Red River Floodway is being operated to manage water levels within Winnipeg.

The Gretna and Neche ports of entry are up and running again. The Gretna crossing opened up late Monday afternoon and the Neche port of entry opened up for business Tuesday morning. Both ports were forced to shut down operations due to overland flooding.

Meanwhile, south of the border, the Red River has crested at Drayton and is expected to crest Thursday at Pembina, North Dakota.
