Steinbach RCMP are looking for a pair of suspects after a dairy operation south of the city was broken into over the weekend.

According to the owners of Eaglebrook Farms, two people were caught on camera breaking into their operation. The farm is situated ten miles south of Steinbach and the crime happened Saturday morning at approximately 3:45 am.

The individuals entered the back of the dairy barn, walked down the feed alley, through the shop, equipment room, laundry room, staff room and office area before heading back to the shop. There, they stole a 2014 white Honda Rubicon Trail Edition 4-wheeler. This 4-wheeler has wide Mud Bug tires and a winch on it. They also stole a welding helmet and shop tools. It appears the two attempted to steal another 4-wheeler but were unable to start it.

The owners have captured video of the two thieves walking through the barn. They say one of the individuals was wearing goggles and holding a container with what appeared to be some form of liquid inside. He has a heavier build and was wearing green camo pants, a long black jacket and brown sandals with grey socks. He was wearing a green camo cap with the words Ugly Stik stitched on the front of it in pink lettering. He was also wearing a black hoodie with a large white-lettered logo on the front. The cap was later found on the road and handed to police for further forensic investigation.

According to the owners, the other individual was holding a hammer above their head, appearing ready to strike at any moment. They have a slight build and were wearing a blue mask, grey hoodie, black jacket and black pants, with light grey sneakers. They were also wearing a black baseball cap with a red insignia on it.

The two were seen leaving the farm on the stolen 4-wheeler by an employee that had just driven up to the front of the barn as she was coming to work.

The owners say it was very fortunate that no one was physically hurt during the break-in, as there is almost always someone in the barn.

Because of the breach of bio-security on the farm, Dairy Farmers of Manitoba has been made aware of the incident.

There is a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the two individuals.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Steinbach RCMP or the owners of the farm.
