The Pioneer Days Parade makes its return to downtown Steinbach Friday morning.
After two years of being cancelled due to the pandemic, the parade officially kicks off Pioneer Days.
The parade begins at 10 am, and RCMP Sergeant Joanne Ryll reminds parade-goers to stay behind the barricades.
"There is no running past the barricades to pick up the candies," she urges. "Parents obviously just be mindful of your kids."
Sergeant Ryll notes walkers with candies have been instructed to get as close to the barricades as possible when handing out candy to children.
The parade begins at the fire hall, makes its way down Main Street and then turns north onto Highway 12, ending at Stone Bridge Crossing.
