Steinbach RCMP are asking the public to help identify an unknown male wanted in connection to the theft of gas in Steinbach.
Police say they received a report on October 23rd of fuel stolen from the Clearview Co-op on the east end of the city. An unknown male attempted to have his fuel charged to a local business. When asked to provide credentials to prove his association with the business, police say the man became upset and drove away without paying.
In consultation with the local business, police have determined that the man is not an employee and is not an authorized user of their account.
Anyone who can identify the individual in question is asked to contact Steinbach RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
