If you noticed a large police presence on Reimer Avenue in Steinbach Wednesday afternoon, RCMP say they were simply conducting an arrest.

Police vehicles could be seen at 121 Reimer Avenue, not far from Brandt Street, shortly after one o'clock.

According to RCMP, they were arresting a male involved in uttering threats. Due to his previous involvement with police, the detachment decided to send out numerous officers.

They say there were no issues with the arrest and the investigation continues.
